Poetry Zine Lab (PZL): Weekend Edition
You already have the poems. This is where they become something you can hold.
Poetry Zine Lab (PZL) is a guided weekend expeiernce where you turn your existing poems into a finished, printed zine.
Not a draft or a document on your computer, a physical collection of your work.
PZL is a structured, hand-on weekend lab.
Over two days, you will:Â
- gather your poems
- choose the specific ones for a collection
- shape them into a sequence
- assemble them into a zine
- and leave with something complete
You don’t need design skills or special materials. Just your poems.

The Rhythm
PZL runs every third weekend of the month.
Each session is a contained experience. You join for one weekend, complete your zine, and leave with a finished piece.
How the Weekend Works
Day 1 Gathering (self-paced)
You’ll receive pre-recorded video guidance to help you:
- choose 6-12 poems
- arrange them into a loose sequence

This part is simple and guided.
No design. No pressure. Just preparation
Day 2Â Assembly (live group session)
We meet for a guided session on Google Meet where you will:
- fold and structure your zine
- place and arrange your poems
- add optional layers using the PZL kit (a downloadable document you’ll receive via email)
- create a title page
- bring the whole piece together
You will be guided step by step

P.S. You don’t need more time or better tools.
You need a container to finish something.
This is that container.
